People beyond the screen. No PC required. Your videos, photos and reading, with more ways to enjoy them. Thru3D brings on-headset AI effects, immersive playback, live captions and a personal media library together. New in 0.15.0: person passthrough for ordinary 2D video, Browser Beta and supported web-video playback. PEOPLE BEYOND THE SCREEN Remove backgrounds from compatible 2D, 180-degree and spatial videos, or supported portrait photos. AI runs on the headset without a desktop client, green screen or pre-processing. Ordinary flat videos can now show people with basic 3D relief. Adjust depth strength, and independently set and remember person-screen size and distance. Fine-detail enhancement is optional on capable hardware and may reduce frame rate. Compatible sources can use an embedded Alpha mask instead of live AI. Lighter defaults and compatibility paths help supported older headsets; results and speed still depend on device, content and settings. FROM YOUR LIBRARY. FROM THE WEB. Browser Beta lets you enter URLs, browse pages, use a VR ray keyboard and sign in to websites. Add, edit and search bookmarks; search and manage browsing history. Clearing browsing history leaves website sign-in data intact. Open supported YouTube and Bilibili videos in the native player, including compatible YouTube VR180, 360-degree and EAC video. Ordinary web video is selected up to 1080p; supported immersive YouTube streams can reach 4K SDR when content and device allow. Native handoff is limited to supported sites and formats, not every website, DRM title or live stream. Website access and account availability depend on the service. HEAR IT. READ IT. Live captions transcribe English, Chinese or Japanese speech on the headset. Choose optional online translation and bilingual display, including for videos that already have subtitles. Adjust existing subtitle styles, and see preparation and translation status while playback continues. Prepare original-language or bilingual subtitles for a full video with a global queue: pause, resume, prioritize, cancel and retry tasks. Original and translated caches follow per-file privacy settings. Online translation sends recognized text to the translation service; audio transcription stays on the headset. Accuracy and first-caption wait vary. Live captions do not provide translated dubbing. LET SUBTITLES SPEAK Offline narration reads existing text subtitles in 19 languages with 12 preset voices. Create personal voices from audio you have permission to use, preview and save them, and use them in other videos. Adjust narration volume and automatic reading speed. Subtitle narration and live captions are separate features. READ. TRANSLATE. LISTEN. Read supported PDFs and ZIP/CBZ, RAR/CBR and 7z comic archives with single pages, spreads and right-to-left reading. Recognize suitable comic speech balloons, optionally translate them online, and read original or translated dialogue with a preset or personal voice. Translation and narration offer 19 target languages; this does not mean OCR recognizes every language or page. Selected recognized text is sent to the translation provider. Page recognition, archive support and remote access depend on content, compression and random-read support. DEPTH FOR VIDEOS AND PHOTOS Add adjustable stereoscopic depth to ordinary 2D videos and photos. Play MV-HEVC spatial videos and HEIC/HEIF stereo spatial photos; supported photos can respond to small head movements. Browse photo walls or Memory Fragments, magnify details, make photo and panorama puzzles, and save unfinished puzzles. Enjoy music, ambient sounds and your own offline playlists. A CINEMA OF YOUR OWN Grand Cinema is the default global background for new users; saved choices remain. Choose seats or move around, adjust lighting and enjoy screen spill light. Other virtual backgrounds and passthrough remain available. Adjust screen size, distance and curvature for seated or reclining viewing. KEEP THE SCENE. SEE THE DETAIL. Open up to three PiP windows to magnify the current video or pin still images and supported pages. Video windows share one source, rather than playing three independent videos. Some mesh-based web VR streams do not support PiP. Capture supported flat/VR screenshots and recordings, or export a bookmarked A-B segment. Compatible outputs can include PiP and playback audio. Capture scope depends on projection, codec and mode; JPEG screenshots are lossy. YOUR MEDIA, WITHIN REACH Browse local storage, compatible USB drives, SMB, WebDAV and DLNA. Connect to Emby, Jellyfin, Plex, XBVR and Stash, or supported cloud services including OneDrive, 115, Baidu Netdisk, Aliyun Drive and Quark. Available search, sorting and file actions depend on the source. Emby/Jellyfin media-version selection remembers progress and settings per file. Supported STRM links and remembered directory positions make returning easier. Play supported unencrypted Blu-ray and MVC 3D ISO titles, with selected non-3D HDMV menus. BD-J Java menus and disc decryption are unsupported. Manually enable compatible local-network DLNA video casting; this is video reception, not phone-screen mirroring. MAKE IT YOURS Select audio and subtitle tracks, adjust timing and playback speed, save bookmarks and A-B loops, and customize controller actions. Playback history and per-file preferences have separate privacy and clearing controls. Password-protected favorites protect access inside the app, not the original media files. Diagnostic logs can be exported or temporarily shared by you; they are not uploaded automatically. Interface languages: English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Thru3D includes no movies, comics or service subscriptions. Bring your own media and accounts, with permission to use them. Features, AI results and performance vary by device, content, network and services. Store images and parts of the trailer are feature illustrations, not headset-capture or performance evidence.
